Short-term rentals aim to offer a property for a certain number of months, or for a season. It is a response to a demand for housing in a city or country other than your usual place of residence, and it will be a stay for a certain period of time.

 

Its main characteristic is that there is a reason why the tenant needs this short-term accommodation: work displacement, to study, for holidays or because their permanent home is under construction, and they are unable to live there. Can you rent an apartment for a month?

Yes, it is possible to rent a flat for one month, and it falls into the category of temporary or monthly rentals. The minimum stay is 32 days. For both landlords and tenants, this can be a very useful option when the reasons for needing temporary housing arise.

How long is a temporary rental?

Rent for months can be for a period of 32 days or more. The law on urban leases does not stipulate a specific duration, but it does establish as the main requirement that there is a reason that takes people away from their habitual residence.

 

What is the maximum duration of a monthly rental?

Generally, monthly rentals have a maximum duration of 11 months. However, this is not always the case, as there may be temporary contracts of more than 11 months. In any case, the reason for your temporary stay in Barcelona must be proven.
